Sancintya Mohini Simpson is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice examines the complexities of racial and migratory experiences within Australia. Informed by her heritage as a biracial First-Generation Australian, she shares stories that need to be acknowledged, often focusing on her own family and community’s experiences of existing on the periphery. Through painting, photography, video, performance, writing and sound she creates conversations, and intertwines mediums to tell stories, critique contemporary Australian culture, and colonisations problematic histories.
